Troop 400 Committee Members and All Adults,
We are a go for the Adult Camp Card Sale voted on at the April Committee Meeting to take place at Publix in Pace this Saturday, May 8. We have Publix reserved from 10-6. I plan to be there all day and will need only a few other adults, but anyone is welcome to come. Please do not feel you have to stay all day. We can break up the day into 2 hour shifts as we do for the boys' fundraisers. Please respond to me and Marcie via e-mail indicating the time slots you plan to attend and we can go from there. All the proceeds from this event are going to the Troop, so we are not tracking hours to individual accounts.
Wade Wilson was able to pick up 200 Camp Cards from the council office and I have a few additional Camp Cards that were returned. If your boys have any unsold Camp Cards, please bring those as well. I hope to sell all that we have. The 200 cards are worth $1000, of which we will keep half of the profits. This means selling these cards Saturday will earn the Troop what I hope to be an easy $500. If we sell out early, we can leave early as well.
I will be at the church at 9 am to pick-up a couple of tables and then I can meet everyone at Publix. Please wear an Adult Scout Class A uniform or Class B t-shirt. If someone can make a sign (white posterboard with sharpie "Boy Scouts of America Troop 400 Camp Card Sale - $5 each," that would be excellent. The Troop will reimburse for suppies associated with any Troop related expenditures.
This is a great fundraising opportunity for the Troop and I hope it will be a big success.
Thanks for all your support and I hope to see you there,
Ryan Bitely
